One of the finest guitarists and songwriters of the blues rock boom of the late 1960s, Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac is admired the world over to this day for his distinctive tone and timeless music.
Green is normally seen playing a 1959 Les Paul Standard in sunburst, and occasionally a sunburst Fender Stratocaster with a maple fingerboard (either 1956 or 1957) that he most likely used on the Fleetwood Mac classic 'Albatross'.
Green is most commonly celebrated as a guitarist, but lyrically he should be celebrated as he seems to possess the 'older man in a young body' in many of his lyrics, thus his music relating to not only his generation, but also to older generations.
Sadly, his career was cut short, due to a combination of mental illness and hallucinogenic drugs. Peter passed away earlier this year, but his music and guitar playing still lives on in the hearts and minds of many of us to this day and beyond.
R.I.P a true legend.
